Abarbanel goes "Sideways" with our second vintage of Pinot Noir. The new 2008 vintage is carrying on our tradition of offering the only kosher Pinot Noir from France's Alsace region. Ninety percent of the grapes in cultivation in Alsace are white wine grapes such as Gewurztraminer and Riesling. With a mere 10 percent of Pinot Noir grapes planted, Pinot Noir is a rarity in Alsace in general. Kosher Pinot Noir is an even more special and boutique production. The cool high-elevation climate of Alsace is excellent for Pinot Noirs. This is produced in very limited quantities so be sure and grab some soon while supplies last.
