Abarbanel is proud to have introduced the first-ever kosher Pinot Blanc from Alsace in the U.S. with the 2002 vintage.
The new 2008 vintage will be released in early March 2010 in time for Passover.
The Alsace region is world-famous for its intense white wines such as Gewurztraminer and Riesling.
Look for subtle flavors of baked apple, pears and melons along with a hint of cream and apricots. Can be enjoyed on its own or paired particularly with poultry or light white fish such as Sole, Flounder, Trout or Halibut. Serve semi-chilled (no more than one to 1.5 hours in the fridge). Under the strict Orthodox supervision of the Badatz of Strasbourg. Mevushal. |

Silver Medal Highly Recommended Abarbanel 2006 Estate Bottled, Pinot Blanc "Straw yellow emerald color. Paraffin, cement, and quince aromas. A bright, round entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity medium body of baked yellow apple, clover honey, and meringue flavors. Finishes with a mild apple, pear, and mineral accented fade. Nicely styled - even and round." World Wine Championships |

Abarbanel Pinot Blanc '02 "Kosher Golden yellow color. Honeysuckle and canned peach aromas have a botrytris. A round entry leads to a dry medium-bodied palate with tart apricot skin, citrus, and metallic mineral flavors. Finishes with a tart quick lightly bitter and metallic fade." Abarbanel Pinot Blanc '02 "Light, appealing, and food-friendly, though a tad stingy on fruits and acidity. What is on offer is alluring, with aromas and flavors of citrus fruits, apples and pears, with tropical fruit notes, and traces of honey in the backdrop. Drink now. Mevushal." Joshua London |
